THE cost of permanent mooring at two Henley sites is to be cut.

Henley Town Council’s recreations and amenities committee has agreed to reduce the cost of mooring at River Terrace and Little White Hart from £2,800 a year to £2,400. The move comes after some boat owners moved to the Brightside Moorings in Thames Side owned by Sorbon Estates.

The company also charges £2,800 a year but provides electricity and water. It has also upgraded its jetties and walkways since taking over the former Alf Parrott moorings two years ago.
