Extra bin collection

GARDEN waste customers in South Oxfordshire will receive an additional collection next week.

GARDEN waste customers in South Oxfordshire will receive an additional collection next week.

Residents can leave out an extra brown bin’s worth of waste on their collection day. This should be placed by their brown bin in a sturdy box, open bag or a sack.

Councillor David Dodds, cabinet member for waste at South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “We are giving residents the chance to recycle extra garden waste when people traditionally start giving their garden surgery after the winter.”

The council recycled almost 9,000 tons of garden waste last year.
