A WATLINGTON parish councillor has stepped down after more than a decade.

A WATLINGTON parish councillor has stepped down after more than a decade.

Charles Rowton-Lee said he had decided to resign after moving out of the parish.

“It has been good fun but it will be very interesting to have Tuesday nights back,” he said.

Mr Rowton-Lee, who is married with two children, joined the council because he wanted to “do some good for the town”.

He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed it.”

His replacement will be co-opted on to the council in September. Anyone interested in the vacancy should call parish clerk Kristina Tynan on (01491) 613867.
