NO decisions will be made on car parking in Sonning Common until the village’s neighbourhood plan proposals are in place.
Councillors had asked South Oxfordshire District Council to provide more parking in the centre of the village.
A potential site off Wood Lane has been ruled out after the district council approved two planning applications for 10 homes.
Now the parish council has agreed to wait until the neighbourhood plan, which will cover traffic and parking, has been validated.
Chairman Douglas Kedge said that by then a professional traffic management report could be ready to send to the district council.
Councillor Barrie Greenwood said any development in the village would lead to concerns about traffic and parking.
lA public meeting will be held in the village hall on July 19 to discuss the neighbourhood plan.
