Community board for train station

A COMMUNITY notice board has been installed at Henley station.

A COMMUNITY notice board has been installed at Henley station.

Town councillor Pam Phillips asked train operator First Great Western for the board after noticing there had been one at Twyford station for years.

She said: ?A lot of people pass through the station on the way to work and this will bring to their attention what is going on in the area.?

Local charities and event organisers will be able to give their flyers to Peter Harman, the station?s booking office clerk, before 1pm each day. Norman Topsom, Twyford?s station master, who lives in Henley, will update the notice boards as necessary.

Cllr Phillips added: ?It is also a form of advertising for local organisations and charities so it has got to be a good thing for the community as a whole.?
