A SURVEY has been carried out on parking in two Henley roads.

Oxfordshire County Council looked at Bell Street and Northfield End to help design an improved road layout.

It was commissioned after the Department of Transport rejected a ‘stopping-up’ order in Bell Street which would have meant giving away public land. Marlow developer Chesterton Commercial wanted to create nine new private spaces outside 94 to 102 but the town council successfully argued against it at a public inquiry.

Councillor David Nimmo Smith, who is a member of cabinet for transport, will bring the findings back to the town council.
