PLANS have been submitted for three detached houses on the outskirts of in Goring.

Developer Frenbury Properties, of Peterborough, wants to build on a disused farmer’s field east of Manor Road and south of Little Croft Road.

Each house would be two storeys and take up about 350 sq m and the development would be accessed by a shared avenue lined with trees.

In its application to South Oxfordshire District Council for the outline planning permission, the developer does not state how many bedrooms the houses would have but says the properties would be “large” in order to “retain the character of the area”.

Frenbury says it is willing to contribute £141,000 towards affordable housing and community infrastructure in the village. It also says it would leave the edge of the site untouched so that walkers could continue using it.
