How residents of South Oxfordshire can recycle their Christmas trees:

Trees can be taken to the Oxfordshire County Council waste recycling centre at Oakley Wood.

They can also be left by your brown garden waste bin ready for when collections resume next Friday (January 9). Trees should not be put in the bin, even if it is empty.

The trees can be left at the recreation ground, off Love Lane, Watlington, until January 19 and the car park at Ewelme recreation ground until January 20.

They can also be taken to Toad Hall garden centre, off Marlow Road, Henley, the Herb Farm in Sonning Common and the Tree Barn in Christmas Common until January 11.

Trees can also be dropped off at Mill Meadows car park tomorrow (Saturday) and January 10 from 10am to noon where they will be shredded. A £2 donation to Henley in Bloom is requested in return and you can take the shreddings home if you wish.

Revised waste collection dates are running as follows:

Collections that were due on Wednesday (grey bin) will take place today (Friday, January 2).

Collections due on New Year’s Day (grey bin) will take place tomorrow (Saturday).

Collections due today (Friday) (grey bin) will take place on Monday, January 5.

Collections due on Monday, January 5 (grey bin) will take place on Tuesday.

Collections due on Tuesday (green bin) will take place on Wednesday.

Collections due on Wednesday (green bin) will take place on Thursday.

Collections due on Thursday (green bin) will take place next Friday, January 9.

Collections due on January 9 and 10 (all green bins) will take place a day later.
