Homes bid

TWO new houses could be built on vacant land in a Henley cul-de-sac.

TWO new houses could be built on vacant land in a Henley cul-de-sac.

Jon Watkins and Larry Clancy, from Bedford, are seeking planning permission for two four-bedroom, detached homes off Auton Place.

Neighbours have objected, saying they do not oppose development in principle but that two houses would be overcrowding the site.

They say it would lead to more cars parking in the street, which could hamper emergency vehicles.

Henley Town Council’s planning committee will comment on the plans before a decision is made by South Oxfordshire District Council.
