PLANS to demolish a property in Binfield Heath and build two detached houses in its place have been submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council.

Hamilton Properties Ltd wants to go ahead with the development at Marraways, between Dunsden Green and Arch Hill.

A design and access statement said: “The site currently contains one two-storey house that sits in the centre of a large site.

“The proposals have been the subject of pre-application negotiations with the officers of the council who have advised that a development of two houses replacing the one existing would be in accordance with policy and would be acceptable as part of the built line of development in this part of the village.

“It is proposed to locate two simple wooden framed double garages to the front of the houses but behind the tree screen. They have been carefully located not to be visible from the road.

“The height of the houses has been established based on the height of the existing house, Marraways.”

The design of the two properties are different from each other to “maintain the diversity of size and shape dwellings locally,” it said.
