Greys Road shut from Monday for roadworks

A SECTION of Greys Road in Henley will be closed from Monday so that a main gas pipe can be upgraded

A SECTION of Greys Road in Henley will be closed from Monday so that a main gas pipe can be upgraded.

The street will be shut between Duke Street and Deanfield Avenue for about 10 weeks and bus routes will be diverted.

The Greys Road entrance to Greys Road car park will be closed but the other entrance, off Market Place, will remain open and homes and businesses on the affected section of the street will still have access.

There will be no parking in Deanfield Avenue and Paradise Road.

The diversion is likely to cause major problems when students are going to and from The Henley College and the the college coaches are there.

The work is being carried out by Southern Gas Networks as part of a renewal of the town?s gas supply.

Work has already started on Remenham Lane at the junction with White Hill by the Little Angel pub.
