Mayor’s pancake race

THE Mayor of Henley’s charity pancake race will take place in Market Place on Tuesday, February 17.

THE Mayor of Henley’s charity pancake race will take place in Market Place on Tuesday, February 17.

Teams of four are eligible in two categories - under-12s and teenagers and adults. Participants must flip their pancake at least four times while running a lap. They are encouraged to wear unusual hats and/or fancy dress and there will be a competition for the best-dressed.

The event, now in its fifth year, is raising money for the Mayor’s charities, the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre, Kingwood Trust and the Samaritans. Entry costs £5 per person. Registration will be at noon with the racing from 12.30pm.
