Residents’ survey on housing

RESIDENTS of Watlington are being urged to complete a questionnaire on how the town should be developed.

RESIDENTS of Watlington are being urged to complete a questionnaire on how the town should be developed.

The town has been allocated 79 new homes to be built by 2027 under South Oxfordshire District Council’s core strategy and the survey is part of the neighbourhood plan process.

The questionnaire will be posted to every household in the parish, including 500 which have registered for updates on the plan.

Parish councillor Nick Hancock, chairman of the neighbourhood plan core committee, said, “It puts forward the options which have been identified by the community and asks them to say which they agree with and to add any comments.

“We have already had almost 50 fairly detailed written comments and we will respond to those that need it by the end of this month.”

The questionnaire should be returned to the parish office in Old School Place, the post office in High Street or by emailing info@watlingtonnp.org.uk

It is also available to view on the neighbourhood plan website, www.watlingtonnp.org.uk

A report and analysis of the results of a second public consultation on the plan, which ended on January 31, will be available by the middle of next month.

A referendum on the plan will be held in the summer.
