Survey on facilities for young

RESIDENTS in and around Benson are being asked what facilities for young people they would like to see in the village.

RESIDENTS in and around Benson are being asked what facilities for young people they would like to see in the village.

The questionnaire has been compiled by the parish councilâ??s youth facilities working group and have been delivered to every home in Benson, Beggarsbush Hill, Preston Crowmarsh and Oakley Wood as well as at RAF Benson.

The working group says it cannot guarantee when or if all requests can be met but the survey will provide a guide to what it should be trying to acheive.

In September, the group withdrew plans for preliminary designs of buildings to replace the youth hall in Oxford Road and the scout hut in Littleworth Road after a disaagreement between councillors. Some thought the plans were premature.

The parish council has agreed to pay the £500 cost of the public consultation exercise.
