COUNCILLORS clearly have faith in Henley’s town clerk.

Members of the council’s finance strategy and management discussed a suggestion by Councillor Will Hamilton that Mike Kennedy should be given delegated powers over people wanting to book the town hall.

Cllr Hamilton said Mr Kennedy would take a “common sense approach”, adding: “I’m sure we’re not going to have a group of jihadis because the town clerk wouldn’t allow it.”
