A PARISH councillor in Watlington has resigned less than a year after being appointed.

A PARISH councillor in Watlington has resigned less than a year after being appointed.

Keith Lovelace, who lives in Howe Road, was co-opted on to the parish council in May but is stepping down due to work commitments.

Council chairman Ian Hill said: “He only wants to do something if he feels he can contribute 100 per cent and he feels he can’t do it at the moment.”

Mr Lovelace runs a design consultancy in the rail and transport sector and moved to Watlington in 2012. He did not respond to a request for comment.
