THE acoustics in the main hall at Henley town hall are notoriously poor.
So it was no surprise when at a recent town council meeting Councillor Sam Evans complained that she couldn’t hear what was being said because of people in the public gallery talking.
“The acoustics in this room are appalling,” she said. “Those of us at this end of the room can hear talking behind us better than anything in front.”
Councillor Ian Reissmann was heard to whisper: “It’s probably more interesting.”
