Sh–opportunity knocks as Tories take over empty store

THE Conservatives are said to be the political party that supports enterprise.

Well, it was surely enterprising of them to take over the former Blockbusters store in Henley market place and turn it into a “pop–up shop” in the run–up to the elections.

The windows are plastered with posters promoting the party and Henley MP John Howell as he seeks to retain his seat.

This shop is, as the

Henley Standard
reported last week, one of the last few remaining vacant retail units left in the town and there is a real prospect of full occupancy for the first time in years.

Mr Howell would, I’m sure, credit the Conservatives for that.
