Survey cost reimbursed

HENLEY Town Council has agreed to reimburse a campaign group for the cost of a noise

HENLEY Town Council has agreed to reimburse a campaign group for the cost of a noise survey in support of the successful application for a new skate park.

The Henley Skatepark Initiative paid £1,890 for the survey to be carried out at Makins recreation ground as a condition of the planning permission.

Colin Brathwaite, who chairs the group, asked the council to foot the bill, saying it would be respon sible for the skate park.

Planning permission was granted by South Oxfordshire District Council in June. The town council has pledged £75,000 towards the facility and the initiative hopes to obtain grants.
