SPEEDING is rife in Goring village centre, a survey has revealed.

Last month, the parish council set up sensors in High Street which recorded every car that passed for seven days.

The average speed in both directions was 23.9mph, which is over the 20mph limit.

There were 274 cars driving at more than 35mph, of which two were travelling at more than 50mph.
