DOZENS of commuters from Henley were facing delays of more than 30 minutes this morning (Monday).
The 7.07am service to London Paddington arrived but then broke down at the station.
Staff said the train had developed a fault with its brakes.
Many of the commuters had been waiting at the station since 7am and some were forced to take a taxi to other stations.
One said: "The train arrived but then nothing happened. I have been here since 7am. We have been told that they are trying to arrange road transport and will let us know."
At 7.35am, station staff said they would be uncoupling the front two coaches which would stop at Twyford only.
The 7.42am service from Henley to London Paddington was cancelled.
First Great Western said at 8.30am that all lines between Henley and Twyford have reopened but delays were expected until 9.30am.
