Prospective District Councillor - Neill Hendry

I AM a married father of two young boys and have lived in Henley for almost 15

I AM a married father of two young boys and have lived in Henley for almost 15 years. Having grown up and worked in the area for many years, I am passionate about local services, particularly the provision of education, health, housing  and local transport.

As a long-standing Liberal Democrat, I am committed to ensuring that their national policies around economic fairness, social inclusion and the protection of key local services are upheld and delivered at a local level.

As we have now seen the Liberal Democrats working so effectively in government, I am also keen to ensure that our voices are heard at a local level here in Henley.

Through changes to personal taxation, the support of apprenticeships for young people, a focus on safeguarding the environment and support for schools and young families, Liberal Democrats have shown that they can make a difference to people’s lives.

I hope that as a candidate for the town council, I too can have a chance to address issues of concern for local people constructively.  This must be done in a fair and  considered way to help our local community to prosper sustainably in these difficult times.
