Prospective District Councillor - Simon Narracott

I LIVE in Henley with my partner and daughter. I am secretary of the Gainsborough Residents’ Association and have seen it flourish from humble beginnings. I am very proud of what our community group has achieved since 2011.

Henley is a great place to live and visit with lots of events and activities throughout the year. However, the wishes and needs of Henley residents can so easily be ignored or trampled over by a district council conforming to national politics. I will fight to ensure that the needs of Henley and its residents are represented clearly at district level. This doesn’t just mean turning up to all meetings but working with every department to ensure the voice of Henley is heard. I will fight for:

Allocation of a district budget to finally address Henley’s air pollution  problem.

Reduction of through-traffic and HGVs.

Better street cleaning.

A community grant for the skate park.

Local lettings policy for any homes built under the neighbourhood plan.

I will fight for what is right and best for the people of Henley.
