Prospective District Councillor - Keith Brooks

I AM a retired scientist and I have lived in Whitchurch for the last 12 years.

I AM a retired scientist and I have lived in Whitchurch for the last 12 years.

Seven years ago I became a parish councillor and am the current vice-chairman. I have identified and organised many projects in the village while liaising with the district and county councils in order to retain its beautiful rural atmosphere.

I am particularly interested in the environment and as a member of the Chiltern Society I have contributed to the Chilterns Conservation Board management strategy and attended their meetings.

I am particularly concerned with the large demand for increased housing in South Oxfordshire and its effect on the natural environment. I believe that with proper management and planning this can be achieved with minimum disruption to the environment and South Oxfordshire can remain one of the best places to live.

I am also concerned with law and order and as a consequence take a keen interest in Neighbourhood Watch and am co-ordinator for our village.

If elected, I would continue to work tirelessly to ensure that both Whitchurch and Kidmore End’s interests are represented in the local government of South Oxfordshire.
