I AM standing for election because I share the vision that the present Conservative-led district council has and would like to be a part of this forward-thinking council, communicating the wishes of Henley at district level.

We should expect our streets to be clean and litter- free â?? the Conservatives are committed to continuing and extending a regular deep clean of our roads and verges with tougher action taken on fly-tipping.

We should expect improved air quality â?? reducing the number of HGVs passing through our town and ensuring traffic moves more freely.

We should expect our town to remain vibrant â?? attracting a mix of new businesses to open offering a better shopping experience and local employment opportunities.

Any improvements shouldn’t cost each resident more year on year. It is the council’s responsibility to budget wisely. The Conservatives have proved this is possible and have pledged to freeze the district proportion of council tax for the next four years.

Having lived in Henley for 25 years, served on the town council for 16 years and with my experience of running a small business, I feel I can draw on these experiences to better represent residents.
