I AM 50 and I live in Bridle Way in a civil partnership (soon to be converted to marriage). I am a semi-retired company director for a market and consumer research company.
I am a shareholder of South Stoke community shop and have teaching, nursing and social work qualifications.
Born and raised in a rural village in the Netherlands, a similar size to Goring, I am familiar with and fond of this style of village life.
Nearly 20 years ago I moved to the UK to teach, then left to be a founding director in an innovative research company specialising in work with children.
Now settled in Goring permanently, I look to be further involved in local life and to be able to bring my unusual combination of skills to our parish.
I would appreciate getting votes and, if elected, will work to continually improve our village life, not just for a few, but for all, in a sustainable, environment-friendly way.
I appreciate the benefits and challenges of small communities and particularly value the idea that we can know and support each other.
