ELECTED on to the parish council in 1998, I have had many duties, most recently being the first point of contact for planning and presenting applications to the council.

In this role I have attended many South Oxfordshire District Council planning committee meetings to present the views of the parish council.

At the last public enquiry into the Whitchurch bridge toll rise, I presented the parish council’s opposition paper.

More recently, I have spoken on behalf of the parish council in opposition to the development of Eastfield House.

For 25 years I was a teacher and I now run the family farm in the High Street, where I have lived for 56 years.
