I AM 45 and have lived in Eastfield Lane with my wife Hayley for seven years. I work in the rail industry delivering training to both trainee and existing drivers. I am also studying part-time towards my law degree and I believe my legal skills will be an asset to the parish council.
I have a proven track record of advocacy within the workplace for many years assisting those with employment issues and negotiating towards improved working conditions. In my spare time I am an active user of the River Thames and represent our stretch of river for the Thames Motor Boat Association.
I am committed to providing the best possible local representation for our villagers and local businesses. Our village has a number of current issues, such as the toll bridge, traffic congestion, the village green and planning issues. I am passionate about these larger issues and the smaller issues that may only affect a few residents.
I am very keen to see the village encompass a neighbourhood plan which would provide residents with a much greater say in planning policies for the village as well as provide much-needed income through a community infrastructure levy on new- build properties.
