Parking ban plan

A ROAD in Peppard could have single yellow lines added to prevent parking.

A ROAD in Peppard could have single yellow lines added to prevent parking.

The lines would be on both sides of Butlers Yard from the junction with Blounts Court Road to as far as the houses.

Oxfordshire County Council has agreed the work can be done but residents would have to pay the cost of between £4,000 to £5,000.

Residents of Butlers Yard have complained about people parking in the entry road to the street.

Barry Wood, who chairs Peppard Parish Council, said: “Residents say they are hopeful of raising most of the money.”

County councillor David Bartholomew said the cost included carrying out public consultation, issuing highways orders and paying legal fees.
