Should Goring have a neighbourhood plan?

A MEETING to discuss whether Goring should compile a neighbourhood plan will be held at the village hall at 7pm this Friday 22nd May

A MEETING to discuss whether Goring should compile a neighbourhood plan will be held at the village hall at 7pm tonight (Friday).

Goring Parish Council has agreed to call the extraordinary general meeting after discussing it at meeting on Monday.

The plan would name the sites where 86 new homes should go by 2027 to meet housing targets set by South Oxfordshire District Council.

If approved by more than half of voters in a parish referendum, it would be legally binding.

The council would supervise the process but it would be written by a working group of volunteers from within the village.
