Clooney's refurbishment plans approved

GEORGE Clooney's plans to refurbish his home in Sonning Eye have been approved

GEORGE Clooney's plans to refurbish his home in Sonning Eye have been approved.

South Oxfordshire District Council has granted planning permission for the changes at Mill House, a Grade II listed manor on the River Thames.

The plans includes a new swimming pool, pool house, glass house, home cinema and annexe and a replacement river house, which the council asked to be reduced in size.

There will also be new boundary fencing and landscaping which will include replacement of an existing terrace.

Clooney, 53, bought the Georgian manor with his lawyer wife Amal Alamuddin, 37, in October.

Eye and Dunsden Parish Council recommended the application was refused because it wanted the boundary fence set further back from the river.
