WOODEN bollards have been installed outside a Henley retirement village to protect pedestrians.

Oxfordshire County Council carried out the work outside Bowling Court, off Fair Mile.

The bollards were requested by residents who were concerned about their safety. One woman claimed that residents going to and from the post box and bus stop were at risk from drivers using the pavement when parking on the verges.
