New homes refused

PLANS for three new homes in Tokers Green have been rejected by South Oxfordshire District Council.

PLANS for three new homes in Tokers Green have been rejected by South Oxfordshire District Council.

Country Homes of Guildford applied to build two three-bedroom houses and one two-bedroom property in Tokers Green Lane.

Kidmore End Parish Council had recommended the application was rejected due to overdevelopment of the site, unneighbourliness, loss of trees and additional traffic.

The district council‘s planning committee refused the application.

Adrian Duffield, head of planning, said: “The proposed development, due to its siting, size, design and density would result in an overdevelopment of the site and would fail to respect the character and appearance of the site and the surrounding area.“

In November an application for two homes on the site was approved by the district council.
