Restaurant seat probe

A RESTAURANT in Henley has been accused of using its garden for customer seating in breach

A RESTAURANT in Henley has been accused of using its garden for customer seating in breach of planning rules.

Cau in Hart Street has applied for permission to use dining tables in its rear courtyard from 9am to 6pm on weekdays for a 12-month trial period.

But now an enforcement investigation has been launched by South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, into claims the garden is already being used for customer seating.

Case officer Robert Cramp is said to be “monitoring” the situation.
