A CASH machine in Goring high street has been granted planning permission despite the parish council’s opposition.

The device, operated by Notemachine, was installed more than a month ago to replace the HSBC cash machine at the bank’s old premises next to estate agent Davis Tate.

The parish council urged South Oxfordshire District Council to refuse retrospective consent because the machine included an “ugly” plastic advertising column that protrudes from the adjacent wall.
