FIVE companies have been given the chance to come up with ideas for a £150,000 adventure

FIVE companies have been given the chance to come up with ideas for a £150,000 adventure playground in Benson.

Playdale, Wicksteed, HAGS, Proludic are among those that will submit plans to the parish council, which will then shortlist three to be considered for the contract.

Councillor Teresa McTeague, chairwoman of the council’s youth facilities working group, said: “Our intention is to bring the shortlisted people back to full council and get the company to do a presentation on why they picked what they have.

“We have been very careful that the brief we have given has been consistent to all five.”

A public survey carried out earlier this year on new facilities for the village showed the most popular choice was an adventure recreation area with a zip wire and a sports centre.
