Threat to PCSO funding

HENLEY Town Council could withdraw its funding towards a police community support officer.

HENLEY Town Council could withdraw its funding towards a police community support officer.

The council pays half the cost of one officer under a contract that runs out on March 31 next year.

Councillor Will Hamilton told a meeting of the council’s town and community committee that Thames Valley Police should fund the full cost.

The committee resolved to invite Insp Mark Harling, head of Henley police, to its next meeting to justify the council’s contribution.
