Cycle bridge unveiled

A NEW pedestrian and cycle bridge across the Thames between the Caversham and Reading bridges was officially opened by Reading East MP Rob Wilson on Wednesday.

A NEW pedestrian and cycle bridge across the Thames between the Caversham and Reading bridges was officially opened by Reading East MP Rob Wilson on Wednesday.

The bridge is 123 metres long with a 68m river span and has a 39m mast.

Mr Wilson said: ?The new bridge looks terrific and is a really eye-catching sight on the landscape. Not only will it attract residents and visitors to Reading, but will also, I hope, encourage more people to cycle and walk between Caversham and Reading.
