Museum to seek funding

THE group looking to set-up a George Orwell museum in Henley will change it’s legal structure to make applying for funding easier

THE group looking to set-up a George Orwell museum in Henley will change it’s legal structure to make applying for funding easier.

Justin Bowles, of St Marks Road, told a Henley Town Council committee meeting on Tuesday that the changes were necessary

Currently the company “George Orwell’s Henley” is registered to Pete Burness-Smith but Mr Bowles explained they were in the process of changing the “legal documentation”.

“Once we get the legal documentation right we’re good for crowd funding,” he said.

Councillor Will Hamilton advised applying for a grant from South Oxfordshire District Council.
