Visitor centre refurb plan

THE Henley information centre could be redesigned at a cost of £5,000.

THE Henley information centre could be redesigned at a cost of £5,000.

Councillors have agreed to seek quotes for the work.

Manager Louise Hastings said the current layout was not fit for purpose as it was drawn up at speed when the centre was moved to the town hall from King’s Arm Barn in 2010 after South Oxfordshire District Council withdrew funding for tourist offices.

She said the desk was not big a enough, the till was in the wrong place and better wheelchair access was required.
