A NEW relief road for Watlington would cost £20million.

A NEW relief road for Watlington would cost £20million.

The figure was revealed by Steve Harrod, the town’s representative on Oxfordshire County Council.

A relief road has been discussed for years. In 2014 a road to the west of Watlington was put forward as an option and the idea was included in a presentation by Transport Planning Practice, who were commissioned by the town council’s then neighbourhood plan core committee to produce a report. The committee has since been disbanded.
