PLANS for flats in a Grade II listed building in Henley have been opposed by town councillors for a second time.

Christopher and Philippa Avery, from Ipsden, already have planning permission for eight flats in a former office in Friday Street.

Now the pair have applied to alter the layout of the flats, which include five on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one on the second floor, and to relocate the staircase.

The town council’s planning committee opposed the first application because of lack of parking and now has recommended, on a casting vote, the latest application is refused by South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, on the same grounds.
