NEW energy saving streetlights are to be installed in Charvil by Wokingham Borough Council.

NEW energy saving streetlights are to be installed in Charvil by Wokingham Borough Council.

The new LED bulbs will cut the carbon footprint of each lamp by up to 70 per cent.

Charvil Parish Council has approved the plans following a decision by Wargrave Parish Council to do the same last year.

The project is being carried out in conjunction with Reading and Slough councils and is part-funded by the Department for Transport.
