View your council tax bill online

RESIDENTS of South Oxfordshire can sign up to view their council tax bills online rather than receiving them in the post.

RESIDENTS of South Oxfordshire can sign up to view their council tax bills online rather than receiving them in the post.

The district council, which will be sending out bills to taxpayers next month, is urging people to register for a secure online council tax account, saying this will help reduce printing and postage costs.

Users can view their account details, make payments, view their billing history, set up direct debits and notify the council of any changes in circumstance.

If you do not sign up by February 19 you will receive your 2016/17 council tax bill though the post as normal.

To register, visit www.southoxon.gov.uk/counciltax

Councillor Jane Murphy, cabinet member for finance, said: “We already have 15,000 council taxpayers signed up to the online service. Everyone who registers to receive their bills online helps save printing and postage costs.”
