Hall plans on display

DESIGNS showing how Benson parish hall could be refurbished will be on display at a public meeting next

DESIGNS showing how Benson parish hall could be refurbished will be on display at a public meeting next month.

Architect Richard Cutler has created the images after being asked by the parish council to look again at plans for a proposed extension to the hall.

The scheme involves extending the front of the building and having a new parish office on the ground floor.

The toilet and kitchen used by people hiring the hall would be refurbished and the disabled access improved.

The cost of the project has been halved to £250,000 by scaling back the original proposals. Plans to create a second committee room on the first floor were scrapped.

The meeting will be held at the hall on Friday, March 4 from 7pm.
