ROADS around the new Townlands Hospital in Henley have been damaged by heavy goods vehicles used during construction, claims a town councillor.

Councillor Simon Smith raised the issue during a council meeting last week and singled out Mount View, where he lives.

He said: “When are the roads going to be repaired? They have got progressively worse. All the lorries are blocking the path so a lot of elderly people are having to walk in the middle of the road to get into town.”

Henley’s county councillor David Nimmo Smith said he would raise the issue with council officers.
