Satellite dish mistake

A MAN has agreed to take down a satellite dish from his home following a complaint.

A MAN has agreed to take down a satellite dish from his home following a complaint.

Marian Musat had the dish installed at the side of the house he rents in Grove Road, Henley, with his wife Costina in February.

South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, began an investigation after a receiving a complaint that it’s not allowed in a conservation area. Mr Musat, 38, apologised, saying he didn’t know he was doing anything wrong.

The builder said the Sky engineer had installed the dish, adding: “I didn’t know this would be a problem. I’ll just take it down.”

A Sky spokeswoman said: “We ask new customers if they have the correct permissions for a dish to be installed. If a customer does not we are unable to complete the sale.”
