RESIDENTS of Woodcote are to be asked for their views on how village amenities could be improved.

An open morning will be held at the village hall on April 16 (9.30am to 2pm) when visitors will be invited to suggest ways to improve the building.

The village green committee will be seeking feedback on plans for the green and nearby Folly Field which could include outdoor gym equipment or an outdoor table tennis table.

Sam Peates, who chairs the committee of volunteers, said: “We’re looking at all sorts of projects, especially those which are suitable for adults and teenagers as we already have the playground for children. We want to offer something for all ages but nothing has been decided. It will all depend on how much funding is available.”

There will also be displays by Woodcote’s woodland and conservations groups as well as its traffic working group, which is looking at ways to tackle speeding and congestion, especially in Reading Road.
