PLANS for three new homes in Harpsden Way, Henley, have been supported by town councillors in a U-turn.
Millgate Homes has applied for planning permission for the four-bedroom properties, each with a garage.
Last month, councillors objected after neighbours complained that the development would be overbearing and would lead to the loss of parking spaces in Peppard Lane. Now they have recommended approval after Millgate agreed to create more parking for residents. Consultant Alison Knight said: “Millgate is going to clear the verge further down, without taking any parking away, so there will be more parking for residents. Millgate would be happy to put in granite sets for residents to park on.” Jackie Harrison, of Harpsden Way, said she still had concerns over the height of the new houses and their proximity to her home.
