How to fly a drone

DRONES could soon be seen flying above a park in Henley.

The town council has given permission in principle for Barry Tindall, of Milton Close, to give lessons on how to use them in Jubilee Park, subject to the approval of AFC Henley and Henley Hockey Club, which play there.

Mr Tindall, who runs training and recording company Skyeyevideo, had asked to use Marsh Meadows or Gillotts Field but the council recommended using Jubilee Park.

He said interest in drones was growing, adding: “I would like the opportunity to spend time teaching people how to fly them and the various laws that apply.”

The lessons would involve no more than 10 minutes’ flying and cover basic manoeuvres and there would be no more than two a week.

The council agreed to review the permission after a year.
